About
Andrew Levin is a composer, sound designer, session musician, and audio engineer with over 15 years in music and sound production, including seven years in AAA game development and collaborations with multiple Grammy Award-winning artists.
From 2018-2025, Andrew worked as an in-house sound designer and composer at Ubisoft San Francisco. During this time, his sounds and songs were heard by over 20 million players with titles like XDefiant (Seasons 1-3), Rocksmith+, and Rocksmith 2014.
In addition to his work at Ubisoft, Andrew has worked as a freelance musician and audio designer, collaborating with artists film makers including 3x GRAMMY® Award-winning Fantastic Negrito, the San Francisco Symphony, Zion i, music director Rickey Minor (American Idol, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Alicia Keys), Jody Watley, and Jazz Mafia. His work as a performer has taken him across the globe multiple times, having performed at major venues and festivals like Outside Lands, Cambridge Folk Festival, Dubai Opera House, Blue Note Shanghai, Bourbon & Beyond, and countless others. As a traveling performer, Andrew’s projects have shared tours with artists such as Sting, Primus, Third Eye Blind, and Robert Plant. Andrew is noted for his presence both on and off stage, amassing an equally impressive portfolio with both live events and in the studio.
Andrew’s game audio, music, and film post-production experience led to him becoming a professor at the world renowned San Francisco Conservatory of Music. At SFCM, Andrew mentored dozens of graduate and undergraduate students, helping launch careers in game audio and film. He also spearheaded the Ubisoft-SFCM intership program, recruiting and hiring former students and fostering a beneficial relationship between Ubisoft and the school.
